Geoff found Active One via his participation in the Peninsula Private Hospital Cardiac Rehab program in Frankston around 10 years ago. After doing some of his own exercise at various gyms, he was drawn back to Active One desiring more structure, supervision and expertise to help him achieve his goals.
Geoff loves the discipline of training regularly, and reports “...it’s the supportive environment, friendly staff, and positivity of the rest of the members that keeps me coming back”. Geoff enjoys the variety of exercise, as “it’s things you don’t work on in everyday life. I thought I was fit before, but Active One has helped me reach a whole new level of fitness, balance and flexibility. Each week I still wonder how you manage to find and work a muscle group I never knew I had!”
Upon joining, Geoff quickly realised that we can adapt the exercise for all ages and abilities, so he brought along his 3 children, Alyce, Luke and Josh. The whole family bring an outgoing and friendly attitude to our group classes, always bringing the banter, and often getting around other participants and pushing each other to be better everyday (maybe fuelled by some strong sibling rivalry every now and again).
The family are passionate water skiers and are always keen to get out on the water together. Each of them have battled their fair share of injuries, including torn hamstrings, shoulder pain, torn meniscus’ and lower back injuries. However, they have found the group exercise classes across Active One and Athlete Evolution to be highly beneficial for managing their injuries, and improving their strength, agility and coordination, helping to avoid future injury risk.
Always keen to better themselves, they show an interest in learning correct technique and ensuring they are performing each exercise correctly, to get the most out of it. They show a positive curiosity and are always striving to improve and grow.
Thanks for the positive vibes you bring to our group classes Hem’s!
My husband was diagnosed of Parkinson’s Disease a couple of years ago, he had severe fatigue, difficulty with mobility and sleeping. He was placed on Sinemet 3 times daily, which helped but only for a short while. So we decided to try alternative treatment and began on PD-5 protocol , It has made tremendous difference for my husband, he had improved walking balance, muscle strength and he is now very active. His Parkinson’s is totally under control, we got the treatment from binehealthcenter.com. This treatment is a breakthrough for PWP!
