Client of the month - Sienna Sullivan

Updated: Aug 4, 2023

Sienna is a highly motivated individual who is living with Multiple Sclerosis. She attends Occupational Therapy and Exercise Physiology sessions at Active One in Brighton.

Our OT team are assisting Sienna to improve her upper limb function and to improve the ergonomics of her work stations at home and at school, whilst she tackles year 12. The support the OT team has provided has motivated her to become an Occupational Therapist herself when she finishes year 12.

In regards to her Exercise Physiology sessions with Bec, she has been working on improving her strength and managing her exercise routine around her symptoms. In addition to this, Bec has been working on helping her achieve her sporting goals.

See her story below.

"I did EP with another person, however, I had a terrible experience, he had no understanding of MS and I was left barely able to walk out of the session. After that, I swore I would never do EP again until I met Bec.

I have had so many benefits since attending active one, seeing huge improvements in my strength. I am able to lift weights I never imagined I could lift, through the help of EP and OT. I am stronger than I have ever been.

I play netball 2x a week and since attending active one I have noticed huge improvements in my game. I am able to play a full game easily now and feel strong while playing.

I love the supportive environment of Active One and how they do everything in their power to make your life easier. But I especially enjoy Bec's dancing during EP sessions!"

We love seeing you achieve your goals Sienna and can't wait to continue to help you and watch you grow!
