On the 4th of February we Celebrated World Cancer Day. In light of this we want to celebrate one of our long term clients, Alan and his story 📖
Meet Alan. 👋
Alan has been a long term client in Brighton for over 10 years, forming some great friendships along the way. 🤩
In January last year he was diagnosed with prostate cancer which required an operation in February followed by radiation therapy later in the year.
Given the evidence for exercise (particularly strength training) during cancer treatment, Alan was determined to continue to exercise in our group programs (and 1:1) as he knew that exercise would improve the chances of successful treatment and reduce the accompanying nasty side effects, like fatigue, loss of muscle of mass and strength.💪✔
Alan made sure to structure his treatment sessions around his group exercise classes and has actually improved his strength since this time last year. 🏋️🏃♂️
Alan has recently been told that his PSA levels are down to zero and that he has beat the cancer. 🥳✨
It has been our pleasure working with you to combat all the challenges you have faced along the way and we look forward to continuing to help you into the future. 😄
